The VTCT Level 4 Award in Laser and Light (IPL) Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for beauty therapists.
Entry onto this qualification requires a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline and a core of knowledge (Laser Safety) qualification.
We teach the VTCT Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Course (£300) and the Core of Knowledge (Laser Safety) Course (£200), they are both online courses.
We will ensure that you have the required knowledge in IPL skin rejuvenation treatments, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.
VTCT is one of the leading examination boards in the Beauty Industry.
Our qualification is both internationally recognised and government-approved. The VTCT Level 4 material will be given to you as part of your course.
We do recommend that you contact your local council, to find out what their requirements are, as every council is different. Most local councils in the borough of London will require you to have a Level 4 qualification.
They will also be able to advise you as to what they require for you to obtain your laser licence, what their local by-laws are and recommend a local LPA (Laser Protection Advisor). So this will be your starting point before you book your course, so we can best advise you.
More and more councils and local authorities are tightening up their requirements for their registration, and so it is a good time to start thinking about Level 4 - even if your council is fairly lenient at this stage.
All of the theory sides of this training course will be undertaken via our online training portal. Once you book your course and payment has been received, you will be sent your login details, to sign in and complete your theory home study modules.
This must be completed before you attend your practical training.

The VTCT Level 4 Award in Laser and Light (IPL) Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation is a vocational related qualification and is focused on photo rejuvenation of the skin using intense pulse light (IPL) treatments.
This qualification requires you to develop skills to carry out IPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatments. This qualification allows you to gather evidence in a real working environment.
This qualification has been specifically designed for the 18+ age group, builds on existing knowledge and understanding of therapy skills and will develop an enhanced repertoire of technical skills to prepare learners for employment.
Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include:

Client care and communication in beauty-related industries.

Management of health, safety and security in the salon.

IPL treatments for skin rejuvenation.
1-day training and clinical observations, home study & 1-day practical examination.
Training manual and VTCT registration & certification.
You will be required to get models for your course, you will need 3 models to cover the range.
