Practitioner Preparation & Stripping Protocol
To prepare fresh fiber tips safely during treatment steps:
Outer Sheath: Strip the outermost protective buffer layer back using standard manual tension.
Inner Cladding: Utilise our Endolaser Fiber stripping tool to strip the second coating layer cleanly.
Tip Cutting: Cut the quartz fiber cleanly using dedicated scissors for optimal beam delivery.
Single-Use vs. Reuse Flexibility:
- Single-Use Standard: Using a fresh fiber for each client is recommended for maximum clinical efficiency, absolute sterility, and optimal energy delivery.
- Reuse & Disinfection Protocol: Built from high-durability quartz glass, the fiber can also be trimmed/stripped back past the used portion and reused across treatments. After each procedure, cut off the used tip, then sterilise by a high-temperature autoclave (121degrees for 12–15 minutes), or by Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas disinfection before the next clinical use.
Safety & Operational Guidelines
Connection Integrity: Ensure the SMA-905 connector is screwed in firmly before firing. Do not touch or allow dust to collect on the optical face.
Aiming Beam Check: Verify that the red aiming beam creates a clean, concentrated dot at the tip before sub-dermal insertion. If the aiming beam appears faint or diffuse, restrip the fiber and cut the tip or replace the fiber.
